Business Development and Sales Officer

About the role
This role involves identifying and acquiring corporate clients, schools, hotels, offices, property managers, contractors, and other institutional buyers through outbound prospecting and relationship building. You will develop business opportunities, present product solutions, manage the sales pipeline, and monitor government procurement opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
Identify prospective corporate clients, schools, hotels, offices, property managers, contractors, and other institutional buyers
Conduct outbound calls, email outreach, professional messaging, and client visits
Identify purchasing officers, procurement personnel, administrative managers, and other decision-makers
Build and maintain a database of qualified prospects
Schedule meetings and product presentations to introduce the company's products and services
Present product catalogs and recommend suitable products based on customer requirements
Prepare sales quotations and proposals using approved pricing and margin guidelines
Follow up on quotations and negotiate within authorized limits
Convert inquiries and prospects into purchase orders and confirmed sales
Monitor relevant procurement opportunities, including PhilGEPS postings
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered
Experience in B2B sales, business development, corporate account acquisition, or institutional selling is preferred
Experience in trading, wholesale distribution, office supplies, janitorial supplies, or procurement is an advantage
Strong prospecting, negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills
Proficiency in spreadsheets, email, presentation tools, and sales tracking systems
Willingness to conduct client visits and outbound sales activities
Results-oriented, organized, resourceful, and comfortable building a customer base from the ground up
