Internal Management Accounting (Officer Level)

Job Summary:
The Internal Management Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting the internal financial processes, including monthly bookkeeping, preparing monthly management reports, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring accurate financial data for internal stakeholders. This role works closely with other finance team members to provide insights for management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping and transaction recording for assigned accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports (MR).
- Support the budgeting process, including gathering and analyzing financial data.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial data entry into accounting systems.
- Assist with variance analysis and identifying areas for cost-saving initiatives.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues from other local offices in terms of billing concerns, supplier invoices, application of payments and collections, payroll concerns, etc.
- Help with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Prepare financial reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in management accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software (e.g., MYOB,
- Peachtree, etc.), and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
