An IT Specialist manages, supports, and maintains an organization’s technology infrastructure. This includes computer systems, networks, software, and hardware, ensuring they function effectively and securely.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot network and system issues
- Provide technical support and resolve user issues with computers or software
- Manage data backup and recovery systems
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place to protect company data
- Update and patch software and systems regularly
- Maintain and update company databases and servers
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Knowledge of networking, hardware, and software systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in IT support tools and security protocols
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
