IT Support Staff provide technical assistance and support to ensure the efficient operation of an organization’s IT systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining systems, and assisting end-users with technology-related needs. IT Support Staff are crucial in minimizing downtime and improving overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
- Perform system updates, patches, and backups to ensure security and reliability.
- Proven experience in IT support or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and office software.
- Familiarity with IT tools such as Active Directory, VPNs, and ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field preferred).
