We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our growing team. This role involves full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of 5+ multi-family buildings and will play a key part in supporting the company’s broader 36-asset portfolio (with an average of 200 units per property). With one team member transitioning out, we're looking to bring on two dedicated professionals to ensure continued excellence in financial reporting and operational support. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle property accounting for assigned properties (5+ residential buildings)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement packages
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow monitoring
• Maintain the general ledger , process journal entries, and manage the month-end close
• Handle data entry , accounts payable/receivable , accruals, and prepaids
• Work closely with property managers to reconcile budgets and prepare variance analyses
• Support audit preparation and year-end financial processes
• Ensure accurate financial data management within Yardi – non-negotiable requirement

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in property accounting , preferably in multi-family real estate
• Strong grasp of full-cycle accounting principles and practices
• Ability to manage accounting for multiple properties concurrently
• Proficiency in Yardi – required
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with residential portfolios of 200+ unit buildings
• Familiarity with brokerage-side accounting or real estate transactions is a plus
