AR Operations Representative (Remote)

Pay: $7 USD/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Timezone Requirement: Must overlap at least 50% of your working hours with U.S. Eastern Time business hours
Location: Remote

We're hiring an  AR Operations Representative to take part in daily AR operations work. It's critical you can easily read and follow written instructions, so applicants who don't follow the instructions in the "How to Apply" section below will not be considered. 

This is not a “sit back and relax” role. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, communicate clearly, take initiative without being asked, and know how to bring calm to chaos, we'd love to meet you.

We are still a growing startup, which means priorities can shift quickly and processes are still evolving. You'll need resilience, adaptability, and the ability to give and receive feedback that is both kind and candid. 

What You'll Do

Hands-On AR Operations

Your daily work will include: 

• Managing shared AR inboxes
• Clearing scheduled actions queues for your accounts on the Invoice Butler platform
• Responding to Slack requests and internal messages
• Reviewing and updating action items / to-dos for the customers you look after

What We're Looking For

Required

• 1-2 years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Highly proactive; does not need hand-holding or constant follow-up
• Comfortable working in a startup environment with changing priorities
• Tech-savvy and able to learn new tools quickly

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with Gmail, Slack, Google Sheets/Docs, Trello, CRMs, or task management systems
• Experience creating automations/workflows

What Success Looks Like

• Priorities are clear, documented, and followed through
• Work gets done accurately and on time
• Problems are surfaced early and solved quickly
• Processes improve over time instead of staying messy
• You help turn chaos into consistency

Important Note

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and solving problems. It is not ideal for someone who needs constant direction or prefers highly structured corporate environments.
