About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Senior Bookkeeping Clerk to join our remote finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys transaction processing, bookkeeping, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Your primary responsibilities will focus on supporting the accounts payable function, managing corporate credit card expenses, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end bookkeeping activities. This is a dedicated, full-time position requiring exclusive commitment, with no outside freelancing or additional employment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Expense Management

• Review corporate credit card transactions to ensure receipts, documentation, and general ledger (GL) coding are complete and accurate.
• Follow up with employees regarding missing receipts, expense details, and required documentation.
• Support team members with corporate credit card platform inquiries and troubleshooting.
• Retrieve recurring utility invoices and monitor automated vendor payments charged to corporate credit cards.
• Accurately code recurring expenses according to established accounting standards.

Compliance & Tax Support

• Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
• Assist with audit preparation by organizing financial records, transaction histories, and supporting documentation.

Bookkeeping & Month-End Support

• Perform monthly corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Review utility accounts for billing accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Support month-end close activities through administrative bookkeeping tasks.
• Assist management with special financial projects and other accounting-related duties as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Bookkeeping
  • Transactional accounting
• Based in the Philippines with availability to work overlapping US Eastern Standard Time hours.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  • VLOOKUPs
  • Basic formulas
  • Data filtering and sorting
• Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting US-based companies or clients.
• Experience with any of the following platforms:
  • Sage Intacct
  • Bill.com
  • Ramp
