Senior Associate - Compliance and Assurance Group (CAG)

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education & Licensure: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required. An active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license—or documented, active progress toward obtaining one—is strictly mandatory to ensure compliance with professional standards. Candidates possessing supplementary advanced credentials, such as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation or a Master of Business Administration (MBA), will be highly prioritized.

• Professional Experience Requirements:
• Senior Associate 1: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive professional experience in external or internal audit, tax compliance, or assurance services. Candidates must be capable of executing complex audit procedures, independently handling standard client requests, and managing multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Senior Associate 2: 5 to 7 years of comprehensive experience in audit, tax compliance, or assurance. This level strictly requires a proven track record of acting as an engagement in-charge. Candidates must have hands-on experience managing end-to-end client engagements from initial planning to final reporting, including direct supervision and review of field teams.

• Technical & Regulatory Expertise: Deep, up-to-date, and practical working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs). Must demonstrate a rigorous understanding of current Philippine tax regulations, corporate compliance frameworks, and statutory reporting requirements to ensure accurate financial statement preparation and mitigate regulatory risks for clients.
• Leadership & Engagement Management: Exceptional project management capabilities to drive engagements, ensuring all deliverables are completed within scope, budget, and stringent firm quality standards. Must exhibit strong leadership by proactively optimizing workflows, supervising junior associates, allocating resources efficiently, reviewing working papers, and actively fostering the professional development of the team through continuous mentorship and constructive performance feedback.
• Client Advisory & Problem-Solving Skills: High-level analytical and critical-thinking capabilities are essential to identify audit risks, navigate complex financial discrepancies, and formulate strategic, actionable solutions. Must possess outstanding interpersonal and professional communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively present audit findings to C-level executives and client management, manage stakeholder expectations, and cultivate long-term, trusted advisory relationships.
