Core Qualifications for Singapore Math Foreign Teachers
- English Proficiency: Native English speaker or equivalent to native level, with standard pronunciation and fluent expression.
- Teaching System Mastery: Familiar with the Singapore Math curriculum framework, proficient in the "Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA)" teaching approach, and skilled in using bar modeling to solve word problems.
- Curriculum Design: Able to design engaging and logically structured online courses for children/adolescents aged 7-14, covering core modules including number sense, operations, geometry, and word problems, based on Singapore Math’s core educational philosophy.
- Teaching Implementation: Utilize instructional tools such as bar modeling and real-life scenarios to visualize abstract mathematical concepts, guiding students to understand "why to calculate" rather than just "how to calculate."
