Director / Scriptwriter - AI-Generated Serialized Vertical Content

Role Overview

We are hiring a Narrative Lead to create and direct serialized micro-drama and entertainment content built entirely using AI-generated assets.

There is no live-action filming .

All characters, environments, shots, and scenes are generated using AI tools in collaboration with an AI Content Creator / Prompt Engineer and a Video Editor.

This role owns the story engine, emotional architecture, and creative direction of each series. You will design bingeable short-form episodes optimized for vertical platforms (Reels/TikTok-style), where hooks, pacing, and cliffhangers drive completion and continued viewing.

This is algorithm-native storytelling built for AI-native production.

Core Ownership

You are accountable for:

• Series concept development and long-term narrative arcs

• Scriptwriting and episodic structure

• Character development and continuity logic

• Scene-by-scene breakdowns for AI asset generation

• Emotional pacing and cliffhanger engineering

• Final creative approval before publishing

You direct through narrative precision and visual intent, not through physical production.

Key Responsibilities

Narrative & Series Architecture

• Develop serialized micro-drama concepts designed for binge behavior

• Structure episodes for:

• Hook within first 1–3 seconds
• Escalating tension within 45–90 seconds
• Strong episode-ending cliffhangers
• Build multi-episode arcs with clear emotional progression
• Design repeatable narrative frameworks that scale across seasons

AI-First Scene Direction

• Translate scripts into clear, continuity-safe scene breakdowns

• Define and maintain:

• Character visual consistency
• Wardrobe persistence
• Environment continuity
• Emotional tone per scene
• • Provide creative direction to the AI Content Creator / Prompt Engineer for image and video generation
• • Review and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure alignment with story intent
• • Collaborate with the Video Editor to optimize pacing and retention

AI-Integrated Creative Workflow (Strategic, Not Operational)

• Work closely with the AI Content Creator to translate narrative intent into AI-generated visuals

• Provide structured creative briefs for character design, environments, and scene composition

• Use LLMs for:

• Research
• Story development
• Dialogue refinement
• Structural experimentation
• Propose workflow improvements that increase creative velocity without reducing story quality
• Collaborate on AI-driven localization and adaptation strategies

This role requires AI literacy and comfort working in AI-native pipelines, but not deep prompt engineering expertise.

Must-Have Experience

• 3+ years experience writing and directing narrative content (digital, series, short-form preferred)

• Strong episodic script writing background

• Deep understanding of:

• Hook psychology
• Retention dynamics
• Cliffhanger construction
• Mobile-first pacing
• Experience collaborating within AI-assisted creative workflows
• Strong visual literacy and ability to design continuity-safe story worlds
• Ability to deliver consistently under tight production timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating serialized micro-drama content

• Experience building vertical content for TikTok, Reels, or Shorts

• Experience collaborating with AI prompt engineers or generative media teams

• Familiarity with AI voice, dubbing, or multilingual localization

• Experience in startup or fast-iteration creative environments

• Strong storytelling instincts and structural discipline

• Data-aware creative decision-making

• Clear communicator in remote team environments
