Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering - expertise in cost estimation
- At least 3-5 years work experience
Responsibilities:
- prepares detailed cost, bids & budgets for civil engineering projects, like bridges & highways by analyzing project plan, material, labor & equipment costs.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for civil works.
- Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, bid proposals, and tender documents.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor changes in design, scope, and market prices that may affect cost estimates.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control throughout project execution.
- Maintain an updated database of material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
