Accounting Supervisor

A pioneer in roadside assistance and emergency services is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join their finance team under the direction of the Finance and Administration Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, managing accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring statutory tax compliance, supervising accounting assistants, and assisting in annual budgeting and financial reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee general ledger operations, journal entry preparation, bank reconciliations, and financial statement consolidation.
- Direct accounts receivable and payable functions, including invoice verification, customer ledger updates, collection tracking, and aging analyses.
- Manage statutory tax filing, compliance, and remittances in alignment with local regulatory requirements.
- Prepare financial analyses, monthly revenue and expenditure reports, and year-end audit schedules for external auditors.
- Assist the Finance & Admin Manager in annual and mid-year budget preparation, quarterly reviews, and budgetary performance tracking.
- Provide direct supervisory support, technical guidance, and task delegation to lower-level accounting personnel.
- Maintain robust internal controls, reconcile intercompany and customer accounts, and perform post-system migration validation tests.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and IT teams to resolve billing, credit term, and system discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and team supervision.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of tax requirements, statutory filings, internal controls, and audit preparation.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/Office applications and hands-on experience with accounting software such as SAP or Infor SunSystems.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with high attention to numerical accuracy and reporting deadlines.
Work Setup: Full on-site
Schedule: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
