Child Participation and Partnership Officer

The Child Participation and Partnership Officer (CPPO) is part of the Child and Adolescent Health (CAH) Portfolio, contributing to the delivery of integrated, inclusive and resilient health and nutrition systems for children and adolescents. The role supports the implementation of CAH strategies by strengthening meaningful child participation, strategic partnerships and coordinated program implementation, and by ensuring that the perspectives of children, adolescents, caregivers and communities inform program design, implementation, monitoring and learning.

For the Healthy Choices, Stronger Communities Project , the CPPO will provide coordination and implementation support during the project's inception phase, working closely with the Program Officer – Technical Assistance, Program Officer – Operations, project partners, Quezon City Health Department and other stakeholders. The post will coordinate inception-phase activities, stakeholder engagement and community-level processes and help ensure that findings and perspectives from children, adolescents, families and communities are systematically incorporated into project design and implementation.

During the initial six-month assignment, the CPPO will support project mobilization and LGU alignment; stakeholder, service and community mapping; preparation and coordination of the integrated situational analysis; partner and community engagement; implementation of initial Healthy Choices activities; and preparation for community co-design and subsequent project implementation.

Requirements

Essential skills, knowledge or experience

• At least 2 years of experience in partnership management, community engagement, child participation or child-focused programming.
  
• Experience in program implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting.
  
• Experience working with government, CSOs, communities and other program stakeholders.
  
• Understanding of child rights-based approaches and meaningful child participation.
  
• Strong facilitation, communication, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple activities and stakeholders in dynamic program environments.  
  

Desirable skills, knowledge or experience

• Experience in health and nutrition, health promotion or community-based programs .
  
• Experience facilitating participatory processes, co-design, formative activities or community consultations .
  
• Familiarity with health systems, service delivery and community-based health platforms.
  
• Experience in MEAL, advocacy, campaigns or community mobilization.
  

Required education and qualifications (certifications, licenses, accreditations, etc.)

• University degree in health or social sciences, public health, nutrition, community development, development studies or a related field.
