About the Role
Aster is seeking a Marketing Lead . You'll be joining a lean, fast-moving remote team of under 5 people, taking full ownership of global marketing strategy across both Chinese and English-speaking markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive global marketing strategy covering user acquisition, branding, and growth
- Plan and optimize campaigns for brand awareness, engagement, and retention
- Build and manage online communities across CN and EN markets
- Lead a small marketing team (up to 10 people)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and customer support
- Track key marketing metrics and drive data-informed decisions
- Monitor industry trends and surface new growth opportunities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization
- Provide strategic direction on ground-level marketing when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of marketing experience in user growth, branding, or similar roles
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools — social media, email, CRM
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution
Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in both Chinese and English (written and spoken)
- Proven track record in user operations, branding, and growth marketing
- Experience leading small teams in a startup or agile environment
- Community management experience across CN and EN markets
- Based in or aligned with APAC time zone for regular team meetings
- Ground-level promotion experience is a plus
- Strong project management and analytical capabilities
