Research & Development Officer - Food & Beverages

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Performs product development and improvement of powdered beverage products by formulating, planning, directing, and conducting laboratory and production trials.
- Evaluates new and alternative raw materials and establish material specifications.
- Document all work activities through trial sheets, assessment reports, and sensory reports.
- Conducts accelerated and ambient aging studies to establish the shelf-life of powdered products.
- Prepares documents/technical dossiers for FDA registration (CPR).
- Approves packaging monographs in accordance to FDA labeling guidelines.
- Establishes specifications of packaging materials needed for product developments.
- Conduct sensory evaluation of materials for comparative tests and products for validation.
- Monitors assigned products from ideation phase up to production run / launching phase.
- Creates material allocation documents and manufacturing documents for production runs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Food Technology / Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Nutrition, or any related field.
- With 2-3 years of experience in Research & Development of Food and Beverages products.
- Strong Knowledge in sensory evaluation of raw materials, intermediate materials, and finished goods.
- Knowledge in nutrifacts checking and food regulations.
