- Driver Management: Overseeing driver schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing training.
- Compliance: Ensuring the fleet adheres to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to reduce fleet operating costs and improve efficiency.
- Reporting: Providing regular reports to management on fleet performance, costs, and other relevant data.
- Vehicle Lifecycle Management: Managing the acquisition, utilization, and disposal of vehicles.
- Safety and Risk Management: Ensuring the safety of drivers and vehicles, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Working with other departments to ensure smooth transportation operations.
- Policy Development: Assisting in the development and implementation of fleet management policies and procedures.
- Route Optimization: Analyzing routes and traffic patterns to improve efficiency and reduce travel time.
- Technology Utilization: Utilizing technology and data analysis to optimize fleet performance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills .
