Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager in a manufacturing environment oversees and manages the company's financial accounting, reporting, and analysis functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations and supporting operational efficiency by providing financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Financial Management
1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements..
2. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g.. GAAP, IFRS) and local regulatory requirements,
3. Oversee cost accounting processes, including material costs. labor costs, and overhead allocations.
4. Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
B. Cost Accounting and Inventory Administrative Control
1. Analyze and monitor actual manufacturing costs, margins and profitability
2. Ensure proper valuation and tracking of inventory. including raw, materials, WIP, and finished goods.
C. Compliance
1. Ensure compliance with task regulations and coordinate tax filings (VAT, tax,etc.).
2. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies for audits and compliance reviews.
D. Team Management
1. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and development opportunities.
2. Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor team performance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
E. Process Improvement
1. Identify and recommend improvements in accounting processes and systems.
2. Support ERP system (e.g. SAP) implementation or upgrades related to accounting functions.
BS Accountancy or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience on managerial position.
