Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager – Manufacturing to lead and oversee all accounting and costing functions within a manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, inventory integrity, and compliance with Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS) and statutory regulations. The Accounting Manager will work closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions in the manufacturing facility in accordance with TFRS and relevant regulations
- Review and verify accounting entries related to manufacturing costs , including Raw Materials, Direct Labor, and Factory Overhead
- Prepare and analyze Standard Cost vs. Actual Cost , including variance analysis (material variance, labor variance, scrap analysis)
- Monitor and verify inventory accuracy for electronic components, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, ensuring alignment with ERP system data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements , including detailed cost and production-related analysis (unit cost, yield, scrap rate, production efficiency)
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning (PP), Warehouse, and Procurement teams to ensure effective cost control and accurate inventory management
- Manage tax filings , including withholding tax and other statutory submissions, ensuring timely compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and prepare documentation for financial and operational audits
- Manage, supervise, and develop the Accounting Team covering GL, AP, AR, and Costing functions
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management on cost control, budgeting, and performance improvement
- Ensure efficiency of accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP system accuracy
Job RequirementsMUST-HAVE Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing companies
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role
- Good English communication skills , both written and spoken
- High proficiency in MS Office , accounting systems (e.g., SunSystems ), and ERP software
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in financial reporting for large manufacturing companies
- Immediate availability is a strong advantage
