Core Responsibilities of a QA/QC Engineer
Pre-Construction Review
- Study project plans, specifications, and
drawings.
- Participate in site investigations and data
collection.
- Assist with permits, documentation, and
pre-construction meetings.
- Construction Phase MonitoringInspect materials and workmanship for
compliance.
- Identify and report safety hazards or
discrepancies.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain progress reports and documentation.
Post-Construction Duties
- Conduct punch list inspections and final checks.
- Prepare as-built drawings and documentation.
- Close out project paperwork and contracts.

- Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with standards.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation (reports, checklists, certifications).
- Ensure materials testing and verification (concrete, welding, electrical systems).

- Support safety compliance and risk minimization.
- Provide training and orientation on quality standards to project staff.
