Job Summary
The Research & Development Officer is responsible for supporting product development, recipe standardization, product testing, and commercialization activities for restaurant operations. The role ensures that new menu items are accurately documented, validated, and successfully implemented across commissary and store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product development and recipe improvement initiatives.
- Conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and pilot testing.
- Prepare technical documentation including recipes, SOPs, BOMs, and product specifications.
- Coordinate with commissary, QA, Procurement, and Operations during commercialization activities.
- Monitor product consistency and operational execution during implementation.
- Assist in evaluating new ingredients and suppliers.
- Participate in cost optimization and product improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Culinary Management, Nutrition, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in Restaurant R&D, Food Manufacturing, Product Development, or Technical Services.
- Experience in product testing and recipe standardization.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
