Food Attendant

The Food Attendant ensures exceptional dining experiences by providing efficient and friendly service to customers. This includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and seat guests warmly.
- Provide menus and assist with menu selections or recommendations.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Address customer inquiries and ensure their satisfaction during their visit.
Food and Beverage Service:
- Serve food and drinks promptly and in an appealing manner.
- Refill drinks, clear used dishes, and attend to customer needs.
- Handle special requests or dietary restrictions.
Dining Area Maintenance:
- Set up tables with appropriate tableware, linens, and condiments.
- Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
- Keep the dining area and service stations clean and organized.
Cashiering and Billing:
- Present and process bills for customers.
- Handle payments, including cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Ensure the dining area complies with health and safety regulations.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Formal training in food service or hospitality is an advantage but not always required.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (certification is a plus).
Experience:
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service (preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions).
- Familiarity with handling Point of Sale (POS) systems is a bonus.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when taking orders.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
