We are a growing group in Real Estate and Hospitality, with real estate developments and hospitality operations that include a hostel and a beach resort.
Job Summary
We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to oversee our day-to-day accounting operations across our real estate developments and hospitality properties. You will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely preparation of financial information and statutory reports, while providing leadership and guidance to the accounting team as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Team Supervision
• Supervise and oversee day-to-day accounting operations across real estate and hospitality business units
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Flow activities
• Review and ensure the accuracy and timely completion of accounting records and financial reports
• Review and monitor bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany reconciliations
• Monitor accounting transactions and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Monitor sales, inventory, and revenue across real estate projects and hospitality properties using our systems
• Supervise, coach, train, and develop accounting staff to improve performance and productivity
Financial Reporting & Statutory Compliance
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of payroll, tax, and other statutory reports to relevant government agencies (including BIR filings)
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, accounting standards, and Company policies and procedures
• Support compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
Internal Controls & Audit Support
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide the necessary schedules, documents, and information required for audits
• Establish and maintain effective accounting processes, controls, and procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls
• Monitor the timely resolution of accounting discrepancies and issues
Cross-Functional Support & Continuous Improvement
• Work closely with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and accurate accounting information
• Provide accounting and financial analysis and support to Management as required
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as may be assigned by Management
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (CPA is an advantage)
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, with supervisory or team lead experience
• Experience in real estate is preferred; background in the hospitality industry (hostel and/or beach resort) is also welcome to apply
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting standards
• Working knowledge of BIR taxation and compliance, including eFPS/eBIRForms filing
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Sprout, StoreHub, and Cloudbeds is an advantage
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with multiple business units
