Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable operations in a BPO/Shared Services environment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience, expertise in Vendor Master Data (VMD), and the ability to manage offshore teams while ensuring service excellence and process efficiency for client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a high-performing AP team.
- Oversee Vendor Master Data (VMD) management, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve escalations and improve service delivery.
- Support operational transitions, process stabilization, and transformation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Prepare operational reports and provide insights for continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- At least 2–3 years of people management experience.
- Strong experience in Vendor Master Data Management (VMD).
- Experience working in a BPO, Shared Services, or Global Business Services environment.
- Experience managing offshore, remote, or geographically distributed teams.
- Proven ability to work closely with customers and client stakeholders.
- Experience in operational transitions, service stabilization, or process transformation is an advantage.
