Job Description
The company is seeking a reliable IT Support & Field Technical Service Assistant responsible for maintaining internal office IT systems and providing scheduled technical support to selected client computer systems.
The primary function of the role is to ensure the stability and efficiency of the company’s internal IT infrastructure. The position will also perform quarterly preventive visits to client computer systems under the company’s computer service support program.
As a secondary responsibility, the staff will serve as a backup Printer Field Technician to assist the service team during peak workload, installations, or preventive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Office IT Support (Primary Responsibility)
- Maintain and troubleshoot office computers, laptops, and internal printers
- Provide technical assistance to employees for hardware, software, and network issues
- Manage office network devices such as routers, switches, and internet connections
- Install and configure operating systems and office software
- Monitor and maintain internal IT equipment and system performance
Client Computer System Maintenance (Scheduled Support)
- Conduct quarterly preventive maintenance visits for client computer systems
- Check system performance, updates, antivirus status, and storage health
- Perform basic troubleshooting and system optimization
- Ensure client computer systems remain stable and secure
- Prepare service reports after each maintenance visit
This support is preventive in nature and expected to have minimal emergency issues .
Backup Printer Field Technician
- Assist printer technicians during high workload periods
- Support installation and configuration of printers at client sites
- Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for printers
- Assist in equipment deployment and installation projects
Technical Documentation
- Maintain records of internal IT equipment and client system visits
- Document service activities and troubleshooting steps
- Submit service reports for completed tasks
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager for field service assignments
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of technical tools and equipment
Performance Expectations
First 90 Days
Month 1
- Familiarize with internal IT systems and company technical procedures
Month 2
- Independently handle internal IT support tasks
- Begin assisting in client preventive maintenance visits
Month 3
Efficiently manage internal IT support and assist field technicians when required
Job Requirements
- Graduate of Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- 1–3 years experience in IT support or technical service roles
- Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and basic networking
- Basic knowledge of printer troubleshooting is an advantage
- Organized and able to manage multiple technical tasks
Additional Requirements
- Must own a motorcycle
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Willing to travel for scheduled client visits and field service support
- Familiar with navigating Metro Manila areas
