POSITION OVERVIEW
Finance & Audit Officer ensures that all financial and accounting operations within an accounting department run smoothly. They oversee the work of junior accounting staffs.
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, inventory and bank reconciliations
- Supervise the sales audit and inventory count
- Manage month-end and year-end closing
- Participate in regular tax audits and payroll
- Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
- Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
- Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
- Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Officer; at least 3 years of extensive experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably MS Dynamic NAV or any other ERP System.
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
- Knowledgeable in inventory and retail accounting.
- Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
- Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to process large amounts of numerical data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Team management skills
- Ability to prioritize work
- Detail-oriented
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably BS in Accountancy
