Offshore Accountant

Position Overview:

As an Offshore Accountant, you perform a range of services, including bookkeeping, tax preparation, financial analysis, and more, using digital tools and communication technologies. Your services will be outsourced to our direct clients where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of  financial records. 

Work Schedule and Arrangement: 11:00 PM- 8:00 AM PHT, Full time In-Office

Office Location: 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger by recording financial transactions, accruals, and journal entries.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections.
• Analyze financial accounts, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to address accounting inquiries and provide financial support.
• Assist with tax-related documentation and compliance activities as needed.
• Support process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience , with exposure to the full accounting cycle, month-end closing, QuickBooks, and client-facing responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
• Experience using QuickBooks is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and accounting practices is an advantage.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Salary and monetary benefits (in PHP):
Monthly salary of 30,000php - 35,000php (depending on experience)
New hire bonus of 5,000php
Risk Allowance of 2,000php
