POSITION TITLE: Accountant, Lease Accounting

REPORTING TO: Lead, Lease Accounting

LOCATION: Cebu, Philippines

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working with an emerging shared services organization, the Lease Accounting staff is responsible for supporting Dover’s lease accounting financial reporting processes. Working independently, this role is responsible entering lease information into LeaseAccelerator and generating necessary Lease Accounting reports that will be used by Dover stakeholders globally for Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) Accounting. This position reports to the Lead of Lease Accounting team and is based in Cebu, Philippines. 

Essential Responsibilities
• Read, analyze, and extract required data fields from leases for accurate lease accounting and reporting under new Lease Accounting Standards ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
• Review lease information for reasonableness and accurately record lease data into LeaseAccelerator. 
• Understand the accounting and reporting impacts that LeaseAccelerator data will have on AP and GL processes under new Lease Accounting Standards ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
• Run and review operational LeaseAccelerator reporting package for month-end and on-demand; circulate LeaseAccelerator reporting package to necessary stakeholders.
• Perform the maintenance of lease-related process documentation and accounting policies.
• Perform the maintenance of lease data management and LeaseAccelerator software.
• Manage the ServiceNow ticketing system for all Lease requests.
• Address other ad hoc lease requests and participate in special projects.
• Support continuous improvement of lease accounting processes

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy; CPA not required but preferred.
• Minimum 2 years General Ledger experience including exposure to:
o FASB-GAAP / IFRS research to interpret new pronouncements and rulings documentation to include resolution of accounting issues.
o Fixed asset accounting
• Strong accounting knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with a major ERP system (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.) managing data in large ERP systems, Oracle preferred.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (Ex: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Charts and Graphs etc.).
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency managing data in Microsoft Office (SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with new Lease accounting guidance under ASC 842 and IFRS 16
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with suppliers, internal customers and coworkers; fully observe Dover’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Employee Handbook “Personal Conduct of Employees” policies and ISO Quality System Standards.
