Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in core accounting and financial reporting; prior exposure to the shipping industry is a plus but not essential
- Strong expertise in preparing Financial Statements, Cash Flow Reports, and Budget vs. Actual analyses
- Proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience with digital accounting solutions, including automation tools, invoicing workflows, and data visualization platforms like Power BI and Tableau
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of vessels, including fund requests, vendor invoice checks, portage bill reviews, and month-end adjustments
- Prepare and deliver vessel financial reports, cash flow statements, and budget variance analyses; perform reconciliations of balance sheet and fund accounts
- Ensure timely submission of finalized reports to ship owners and respond promptly to queries from Technical teams and stakeholders
- Support monthly management reporting activities (e.g., reports to MD, budget variance reports) in collaboration with the reporting manager
- Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders, ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting
- Contribute solutions and recommendations to Finance Managers to meet organizational goals
- Handle ad-hoc reporting tasks as assigned
