Finance Officer

About the Role

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank-related activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting requirements. This role will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting compliance initiatives, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of finance functions across the business. The position also requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers to resolve financial queries and improve existing processes

Key Responsibilities

• Execute Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and banking activities.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies across various financial records.
• Manage escalations and assist in resolving issues related to financial transactions.
• Support the resolution of disputes with customers and vendors.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure alignment with general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and support accurate and timely financial reports.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
• Review current finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support updates to finance guidelines and documentation to align with corporate standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on finance-related matters.

Skills & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
• Advanced attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability.

Desirable

• Bookkeeping experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), CRM systems, or similar ERP platforms.
• Experience working within a shared services or regional finance environment.
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives and financial controls.

• Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Outlook
• ERP Systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite)
• Financial Reconciliation and Reporting Tools
