Compensation: $1,400/month

Remote : Philippines-Based Independent Contractor

Schedule: Full Time, EST

We are a U.S.-based restaurant company that operates a large portfolio of quick-service and casual dining restaurants across the country. The company is best known for its Wendy’s restaurants and also operates its own restaurant concepts, including Morning Belle.

As of 2025, we have operated more than 350 restaurants across 15 states and employed more than 10,000 people.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a large, fast-paced restaurant and hospitality organization. This role will be responsible for processing payroll for assigned employee groups, assisting managers and employees with payroll-related questions, maintaining payroll and HRIS records, and supporting reporting and year-end payroll activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a high-volume U.S. payroll environment , strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential employee information with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

-Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for assigned employee groups.

-Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before processing.

-Assist managers and employees with payroll-related questions and concerns.

-Maintain and review tip reports for restaurant and casual dining operations.

-Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and maintenance .

-Maintain accurate employee records and virtual payroll files.

-Update and maintain information within the company’s HRIS/payroll system .

-Complete Verification of Employment requests for current and former employees.

-Generate payroll reports and assist with payroll audits as needed.

-Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information.

-Support the Payroll Supervisor and team with additional payroll-related projects and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

-Previous experience processing U.S. payroll , preferably in a high-volume environment.

-Experience with Workday is highly preferred.

-Candidates with strong experience using payroll or HRIS platforms such as ADP, Oracle, or BambooHR may also be considered.

-Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.

-Experience supporting hourly employees, restaurant operations, hospitality, retail, or other large multi-location workforces is highly preferred.

-Strong understanding of payroll accuracy, deadlines, employee data, and confidential information.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong organizational and time-management skills.

-Ability to work independently while collaborating with a U.S.-based payroll team.
