Role OverviewWe are seeking experienced and inexperienced Korean–English Medical Interpreters for a full-time, remote Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) position. This role supports medical appointments, consultations, and urgent healthcare interactions. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who value accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in high-stakes medical environments.

- Provide accurate, impartial interpretation between Cantonese-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Apply strong knowledge of medical terminology and interpreter ethics
- Handle sensitive and urgent medical calls with professionalism
- Remain available during assigned shifts and participate in quality reviews or team check-ins as required
- Fluency in Korean and English
- High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred)
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills
- Comfortable working remotely and managing varied call types
- Must successfully pass a language proficiency assessment and background check
- A quiet workspace , free from distractions
- USB wired headset and a plain white T-shirt (required for video calls)
- Laptop or PC with:
- Intel Core i5 (8th generation or higher)
- 8 GB RAM
- 1080p webcam
- High-speed wired internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload )
- A solid grey background for video calls
