All-Rounder Staff (Full-Time, Guiguinto)

The All-Rounder Staff member is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the café by performing multiple functions, including barista duties, food preparation and cooking, and kitchen assistance. The role involves preparing high-quality beverages and food items, providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and ensuring that ingredients, supplies, and equipment are properly handled and maintained.

The role must be flexible, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of switching between front-of-house and kitchen responsibilities depending on operational needs. This position requires a hands-on individual who can contribute to efficient café operations while consistently maintaining product quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Barista and Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, non-coffee beverages, teas, blended drinks, and other menu offerings according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency in beverage taste, temperature, portioning, and presentation.
• Assist customers with menu inquiries, recommendations, and special requests.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, beverage preparation area, and related equipment.
• Monitor stocks of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other beverage supplies, and report shortages promptly.

• Prepare and cook café menu items, including pasta, sandwiches, fried meals, snacks, pastries, and other food offerings, as applicable to the café's menu.
• Perform ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, slicing, portioning, marinating, and measuring ingredients.
• Follow standardized recipes, cooking procedures, portion sizes, and plating or presentation requirements.
• Ensure that food is prepared and served at the appropriate quality, temperature, and freshness.
• Monitor food ingredients and prepared items to ensure proper storage, labeling, rotation, and use within applicable shelf-life limits.
• Check ingredient availability before and during service and communicate replenishment needs to the immediate supervisor.
• Minimize food waste by following proper portioning, preparation, and storage procedures.

• Assist the cook or other kitchen personnel with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Wash, sanitize, and organize kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, trays, and food preparation equipment.
• Maintain clean and orderly kitchen workstations, preparation counters, storage areas, and dishwashing areas.
• Assist in receiving, checking, storing, and organizing deliveries of food ingredients and other supplies.
• Replenish ingredients, condiments, packaging materials, and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Ensure that kitchen tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and ready for use.
• Dispose of food waste and other garbage properly and maintain appropriate waste segregation practices.
• Provide additional kitchen support during peak hours to help maintain timely and efficient order preparation.

• Welcome customers courteously, take orders accurately, and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and ensure that orders meet the café's quality and presentation standards.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and refer issues to the supervisor when necessary.
• Assist with cashiering, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, and payment processing when assigned.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including workstation preparation, restocking, cleaning, and securing equipment.
• Coordinate with other café personnel to ensure smooth workflow between beverage preparation, cooking, and service.
• Maintain a professional appearance and a welcoming environment for customers.

• Follow the café's food safety, personal hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Observe proper handwashing, food handling, cleaning, and sanitizing practices.
• Prevent cross-contamination by properly separating raw and ready-to-eat food items and using appropriate utensils and storage methods.
• Maintain appropriate food storage conditions and follow applicable temperature-control procedures.
• Check the quality, freshness, and condition of ingredients before use.
• Report damaged equipment, food quality concerns, pest sightings, and potential safety hazards to the immediate supervisor.
• Comply with applicable food safety and sanitation requirements and the café's internal operating procedures.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Must Haves

• At least a Senior High School graduate.
• Experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or food service establishment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to perform multiple duties, including beverage preparation, cooking, and kitchen assistance.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, personal hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, preparation procedures, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, flexible, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and respond to changing operational needs

• Previous experience as a barista, café cook, kitchen assistant, or all-around café staff.
• Experience preparing espresso-based beverages, non-coffee drinks, teas, and blended beverages.
• Familiarity with operating espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Experience preparing café menu items such as pasta, sandwiches, fried meals, snacks, and pastries.
• Knowledge of portion control, inventory monitoring, stock rotation, and food waste reduction.
• Experience handling cashiering, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and payment transactions.
• Familiarity with opening and closing procedures for café or restaurant operations.
• Vocational training or certification in Culinary Arts, Food and Beverage Services, Barista Training, or Hospitality Management.
• Basic knowledge of food storage, temperature monitoring, and cross-contamination prevention.
• Willingness to learn new recipes, beverage techniques, and café operating procedures.
