STAT Accountant (PH)

The big picture:

We are looking for an ambitious Statutory Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the financial and tax departments across various European countries and participate in audit processes and year-end closings. This position requires work within the Greece (+1 GMT time zone).

Responsibilities:

• Assist with analysis of the accounting data for the purposes of tax compliance, preparation of required tax and statutory reporting
• Submission of the required reporting to the attention of authorities in different EMEA jurisdictions
• Analyzing the statutory accounting data held in the accounting system under supervision, making sure that the taxes are posted and kept correctly in the system, collaborating with GL team in making adjustments where required
• Assist with calculation and/or verification of corporate income tax and deferred tax
• Track the tax and statutory required payments to the budget to be performed in due timelines
• Collaborate with the GL team and third-party consultants on various aspects of tax compliance of the client
• Assist during quarterly/ annual closing procedures, including preparation of tax packs, collaborating with GL team to make sure that the required tax postings are made in the accounting system, making sure that the required tax tasks are completed in due timelines
• Analyze the official notice letters issued by authorities to the attention of the client, support in investigating each such case.

Requirements:

• Bacherlor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Good MS Office Skills
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Fluency in English (Written and Verbal)
• Good knowledge of Accounting principles and taxation
• 2-3 years experience working on accounting and taxation
• Ability to organize large amounts of data
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills with proactive, supportive and positive approach
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements
• SAP ERP knowledge is required
• SSC environment would be an asset
