About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Assistant to support the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. The role involves maintaining payroll records, validating payroll data, processing statutory deductions, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, and providing payroll-related support to employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in processing payroll, including salaries, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and deductions.
- Validate attendance, timekeeping, leave, and payroll data for accuracy.
- Process government-mandated deductions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and taxes) and assist with statutory remittances.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
- Prepare payroll reports and support payroll reconciliations and audits.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Perform other payroll and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in payroll, accounting, finance, or a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of payroll processing, labor laws, and government contributions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Experience with payroll systems or HRIS is an advantage.
