About the role

We’re seeking a Real Estate Underwriting Analyst to support our acquisitions and investments team in evaluating multifamily and special situation opportunities in New York City. You’ll prepare and audit cash flow models, conduct market and rental research, and help maintain accurate deal and property data. The role also involves assisting with due diligence and preparing reports that summarize key insights, performance, and investment rationale. Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in Excel-based financial modeling. Experience with real estate underwriting, market research, or financial analysis is highly preferred.

Your days will be filled with:

• Manage and maintain lead database (update, organize, and track status)
• Fill out, edit, update, and audit cash flow models for multifamily investment opportunities and special situations in New York City.
• Prepare market research and rental competitive analyses using 3rd party data providers and independent investigation
• Maintain an active deal pipeline/database for the acquisitions team
• Assist in the preparation of internal and investor-facing memoranda detailing investment rationale, market and property performance, execution risks and prospective returns
• First-pass underwriting using existing Excel templates.
• Inputting data from documentation (rent rolls, leases, financials).
• Preparing cash flow models for multifamily and special situations investments.
• Conducting market research and rental competitive analysis.
• Preparing investor-facing reports covering performance, risks, and returns.
• Supporting due diligence and highlighting questions/soft spots requiring follow-up
• Perform various due diligence exercises and support the team with ad hoc projects

Who we are looking for:

• 1-2 years of experience Real Estate Underwriter Analyst, or similar role
• Outstanding quantitative and financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in English; Excellent time management and communication skills
• Finance experience is required.

• Proven ability to work under time pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work individually or on a team
• Exceptional visual presentation abilities (maps, tables, charts)
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects

• Comfortable using a time tracking tool

To maintain a highly productive and professional work-from-home setup, successful candidates must have:

Computer & Equipment

• Primary and backup computer with at least  Intel Core i5   or  AMD Ryzen 5 , and 8GB RAM
• Web camera   for meetings and check-ins
• Headset  (preferably noise-canceling) for clear communication

Internet Connection

• Primary : Minimum 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload
• Backup : At least 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload
