Warehouse Supervisor

Position Summary:

• The Warehouse Supervisor plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
• Leads and advises on warehouse operations and execution, customer interaction, systems and budget management
• The position oversees the development and improvement of systems and controls in receiving, storage, and distribution.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities :

1. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions
2. Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective & optimal supply plan, inventory planning and control of top commodities
3. Ensures the availability of materials in the warehouse, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels
4. Leads continuous improvement programs in Warehouse Operations
5. Supervises physical count every quarter
6. Conducts investigation on inventory variances after physical count.
7. Counsels, records, and disciplines, as necessary. Develops crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members
8. Manages individual performance of his team through small-group activities, regular 1:1 meetings, identifying help needs and providing guidance when necessary.
9. Measures and analyzes KPIs (key performance indicators) and reports back to manager before implementing actions to improve best practices.
10. Creates, formats, updates and presents relevant reports to Warehouse Manager and or higher management to present performance updates and/or issues resolution including weekly team reports and financial usage reports compliant to company's cost -accounting format.
11. Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner

• Graduate of B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, or related field.
• Must have 3 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Proficient in all stockroom operations 
• Good organizational, oral and written communication skills 
• Business FMEA / OCAP / 8D document creation. 
• With leadership/managerial experience; a competent people leader
• Willing to work at Calamba, Laguna
