Role : Senior AU Tax Accountant

Work Arrangement : Hybrid

Location : Philippines - Angeles (Pampanga)

Schedule : Morning Shift

Job Description:

Analyse financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for the Firm’s clients. Delegate and review the work as necessary to ensure completion with the focus on the development of staff in the team. 

Key Responsibilities : 

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards
• Prepares and review clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed
• Prepares and analyses management accounting reports
• Helps identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues
• Applies Australian tax compliance procedures
• Assists with Australian tax planning for clients
• Conducts reviews of Australian income tax and FBT returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts
• Complies with lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements
• Assists graduates and intermediates with work and acts as a mentor/buddy

Qualification and requirements:

Education Requirements : 

• Essential
• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major 
• Completion of CPA or equivalent 

Demonstrated Experience & Attributes : 

• 4-6 years experience in a similar role
• Exposure to wide range of industries 
• Preferable experience with Xero
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major 
• 4-6 years experience in a similar role
