Inventory Staff

Job Summary:

The Inventory Staff is responsible for overseeing the company's inventory management system, ensuring accurate stock records, and assisting in the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse. They will work closely with the purchasing and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and handle other related administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Monitoring:

Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is sufficient to meet business needs.

Perform regular stock counts and maintain accurate records in the inventory system.

• Receiving and Issuing Goods:

Inspect and receive incoming stock, ensuring it matches purchase orders.

Properly store items in designated areas and ensure they are properly labeled and accessible.

Issue goods to various departments or customers as required.

• Stock Replenishment:

Coordinate with the purchasing department to order products and replenish stock.

Track inventory turnover and assist in identifying slow-moving items.

• Inventory Reports:

Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly inventory reports for management review.

Report discrepancies in inventory and assist in identifying causes of variances.

• Warehouse Organization:

Ensure that inventory storage areas are clean, organized, and safe.

Maintain a system to easily locate items in the warehouse.

• Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures.

Handle inventory-related paperwork and assist in auditing processes.

Qualifications:

• Education: At least a high school diploma; college degree in business, management, or related field is an advantage.
• Experience: Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
