Laundry Staff

The Laundry Staff is responsible for ensuring all linens, uniforms, and other items are washed, dried, pressed, and stored efficiently and effectively. They maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry facility and ensure a high standard of hygiene is upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Washing and Cleaning:

• Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently.
• Sort linens, clothes, and other items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements.
• Remove stains using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemicals.

Pressing and Folding:

• Iron or press garments and linens to meet required standards.
• Fold and stack linens neatly for storage or distribution.

Inventory Management:

• Keep track of incoming and outgoing laundry items.
• Report missing or damaged items to supervisors.
• Maintain adequate stock of detergents, softeners, and other supplies.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Monitor the condition of laundry equipment and report malfunctions.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machines.

Hygiene and Safety:

• Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ensure the laundry area is clean and organized at all times.

Customer Service:

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer or department requests.
• Ensure all completed items meet the expected quality standards.

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role (preferred).
• Familiarity with laundry equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced environment with exposure to heat and noise from machines.
• May require flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
