Vessel Operations Manager

Overview We are looking for a Vessel Operations Manager to lead maritime service delivery operations supporting global vessel fleets in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. This role is responsible for overseeing operational performance, customer service delivery, profitability, and team leadership across vessel provisioning and operational support activities. The successful candidate will manage teams handling vessel orders, supplier coordination, operational escalations, and customer requirements while ensuring strong commercial and operational performance. The ideal candidate should have strong maritime operational exposure combined with customer-facing leadership, operational decision-making, and P&L management experience. Candidates from ship chandling, marine catering, vessel provisioning, offshore catering, fleet support, or maritime operations environments are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage teams supporting global vessel operations and maritime service delivery Ensure high customer satisfaction while maintaining operational profitability and budget adherence Manage operational escalations, urgent vessel requirements, and changing operational priorities Drive KPI performance across service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer retention Monitor and improve operational processes, workflows, and team performance Coordinate closely with customers, vessel stakeholders, suppliers, and internal operational teams Support operational restructuring, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives Analyze operational and financial performance to identify improvement opportunities Ensure smooth coordination of vessel schedules, supplier activities, and delivery timelines Lead coaching, performance management, and development of operations teams Maintain a strong culture of accountability, responsiveness, and operational excellence Requirements Strong experience within maritime operations, vessel provisioning, ship chandling, marine catering, or related maritime service environments Proven leadership experience managing operational teams in a fast-paced environment Strong P&L management, budget control, and operational profitability experience Experience handling customer-facing operations and operational escalations Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic 24/7 operational environment Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Experience driving operational improvements and leading change initiatives Comfortable working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams Strong analytical, operational, and commercial decision-making skills Preferred Backgrounds We are particularly interested in candidates with experience from: Ship Chandling Companies Marine Catering & Provisioning Companies Maritime Service Providers Fleet Operations & Vessel Support Organizations Offshore Catering Operations Global Maritime Supply & Service Companies
