The Role
The Financial Reporting Supervisor is accountable for the integrity of the general ledger and the accuracy of AutoGlobal Group's consolidated financial statements, covering all branches and the distributor. You lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, independently review journal entries and reconciliations before they post, and review the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow before they reach management. This is a control role: the numbers leadership uses to make decisions pass through you, and you make sure they are right.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• General Ledger Integrity: Owns the accuracy of the general ledger in NetSuite across all entities and branches. Reviews the clearing of errors, suspense, and unmatched transactions, and ensures every sub-module agrees to the GL.
• Journal Entry Review & Approval: Independently reviews and approves manual journal entries (accruals, reclasses, adjustments, closing entries) before posting, and verifies supporting documents. Never approves an entry you prepared.
• Month-End, Quarter-End & Year-End Close: Leads the close calendar and sign-off checklist, and locks the period once balances are reconciled and reviewed. Drives the team to issue financial statements by the agreed working day.
• Reconciliation Oversight: Reviews subledger-to-GL matching and balance sheet schedules, and confirms reconciliations owned by Treasury and AP are complete at close. Ensures reconciling items are resolved within 30 days.
• Financial Statements & Consolidation: Reviews the monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow package and the consolidation of all branches. Reviews branch and distributor P&Ls and investigates unusual movements before issuing to the Accounting & Finance Head.
• Variance Analysis & Management Reporting: Reviews variance analysis, management dashboards, and financial KPIs before release, and supplies accurate actuals for financial planning.
• Inventory Costing & Fixed Asset Review: Reviews inventory GL against valuation, monthly COGS and cost adjustments, and the fixed asset register, depreciation, and roll-forward.
• NetSuite Accounting Controls: Defines finance requirements for the chart of accounts, accounting periods, posting rules, and journal approval workflows. Works with IT on changes and reviews finance user roles for segregation of duties.
• Tax & Audit Support: Provides Tax Compliance with closed, reconciled GL data for BIR reporting. Prepares audit schedules, supports internal and external auditors, and closes audit findings.
• Team Leadership: Supervises and develops the Financial Reporting Analyst, GL Accountant, Close and Reconciliation Specialist, Inventory and Cost Accountant, and Fixed Asset Accountant.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related finance field; CPA license is an advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close — multi-entity or multi-branch consolidation experience; automotive, retail, or distribution industry preferred
• At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity, with experience reviewing and developing accounting staff
• Advanced proficiency in NetSuite or SAP — general ledger, journal workflow, period close, and financial reporting (required)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel — pivot tables, lookup functions, Power Query, and reconciliation and consolidation modeling (required)
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Working knowledge of dashboards (view/reporting level) is an advantage
• Detail-Oriented — spots variances, misclassifications, and unsupported entries before they reach the statements
• Controls-Minded — holds the line on approvals, segregation of duties, and period locks
• Analytical — explains what is driving movements in the P&L and Balance Sheet, not just that they moved
• Deadline-Driven — delivers a clean close on the calendar, every month
