HR Business Partner (Junior Manager)

The HR Business Partner (Junior Manager) is the people champion for AIRR Labs' leaders and teams. The role owns performance management, employee development, employee relations, and organizational design, and works closely with stakeholders to help them grow as experts and leaders and reach their career goals.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• The core responsibility of the HR Business Partner is to run performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and organizational design, and to coach leaders to act on them.
• Performance review: run the review cycle, coach managers on ratings, calibration, and feedback conversations, and report results and trends to the Head of People & Culture.
• PIPs and developmental plans: take an active role in every plan, from drafting and manager coaching to mediation, evaluation at each checkpoint, and reporting of outcomes. Make sure each plan is documented to meet Labor Code due process requirements.
• Learning and development: assess development needs from reviews, PIPs, and succession plans. Design and run the L&D plan within budget, and track completion and impact.
• Organizational reviews and structuring: spearhead organizational reviews, role design, and job evaluation as the company grows. Recommend structure changes and hand them to People & Culture Specialist- Compensation and Benefits and HR Operations for headcount and cost center updates.
• Major grievances: own the investigation and resolution of grievances beyond the minor scope, including fact-finding, mediation, administrative hearings, and recommended outcomes that are fair to all parties involved.
• Employee relations and compliance: ensure HR practices and policies follow labor and employment law. Coach first-line and next-level managers on simple to progressive disciplinary issues. Receive escalations from the P&C Specialists.
• Talent and succession: partner with line leaders to identify high-potential employees and build succession plans. Initiate and implement people programs to retain top talent.
• Policy and exit management: research and develop HR policies and procedures that fit business needs, with People & Culture Specialist – Employee Lifecycle and Engagement handling rollout.
• Reporting: create and analyze talent management reports on performance, development, employee relations, and exits. Keep up to date with HR trends and market benchmarking.
• Take ownership and accountability with the candidate's and employee's overall experience whilst contributing value to AIRR's culture.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned within scope.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience in HR business partnering, including hands-on handling of employee relations cases and performance management
• Proficiency in Office 365, with the analytical skills to build talent and performance reports
• Working knowledge of the Philippine Labor Code, especially due process, grounds for discipline and separation, and documentation standards
• Hands-on experience handling PIPs, investigations, and mediation
• Experience running performance reviews and L&D programs
• Ability to conduct organizational reviews, job evaluation, and role design
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coach managers through difficult conversations
• Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
• Has strong sense of ownership and accountability and handles confidential matters with discretion.
• Passionate about people and strongly believe that people are the greatest asset of the organization.
• Experience in e-commerce and start up is a plus
• Formal training or certification in labor law, mediation, or coaching is an advantage
