JOB Summary:
The Restaurant Systems Specialist is responsible for the administration, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the various digital systems used in daily restaurant operations, including POS (Point-of-Sale), inventory, scheduling, and reporting platforms. This role ensures system functionality, supports team training, and contributes to process improvement across all restaurant locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot restaurant systems such as POS, kitchen display systems, inventory, and employee scheduling tools.
- Collaborate with operations and IT teams to assess system needs and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Manage vendor relationships related to restaurant technology platforms.
- Assist in system rollouts, upgrades, and testing across locations.
- Monitor and ensure data integrity across systems and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate and analyze system-related reports to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Document standard operating procedures and best practices for system usage.
- Provide on-site or remote support during new store openings or major system implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to train non-technical users and translate technical terms into practical instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and workflows.
- Willingness to travel to store locations if required.
