A Retail Assistant plays a key role in ensuring an excellent customer experience in a retail environment. This position involves assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Address customer inquiries and provide product recommendations.
- Handle complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales Support:
- Upsell and cross-sell products to meet sales targets.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for transactions, refunds, and exchanges.
- Promote special offers, loyalty programs, and discounts.
Inventory Management:
- Stock shelves and ensure product displays are neat and attractive.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing deliveries.
Store Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the store and fitting rooms.
- Follow health and safety regulations.
- Ensure security measures are upheld to prevent theft.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Participate in training sessions and contribute to achieving store goals.
- Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Additional training or certifications in retail or customer service (a plus).

- Prior retail, sales, or customer service experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling (an advantage).
