- The Retail Assistant plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the retail store. They are responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store displays, stocking products, and ensuring a clean, organized shopping environment.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their shopping needs, providing product information and recommendations.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the products and services offered to answer customer inquiries accurately.
- Sales Support: Process transactions, including cash, credit, and mobile payments, and handle returns or exchanges as needed.
- Stocking and Inventory Management: Ensure shelves are stocked with products, organize displays, and assist in inventory management by checking stock levels.
- Visual Merchandising: Help arrange product displays to attract customers and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and tidy, including sweeping, dusting, and ensuring fitting rooms are in order.
- Promotions and Sales Goals: Assist with in-store promotions and help meet sales targets by engaging customers and offering additional products or services.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient store operations and provide excellent customer service.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and move around the store.
