ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, monitoring accounting transactions, and supervising the accounting team. The role will ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and government regulations while providing reliable financial information to management.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise the Accounts Payable team in processing supplier invoices, utilities, rentals, and logistics-related expenses.
Review payables against purchase orders, supplier contracts, and approved budgets.
Monitor supplier rebates, dealer support programs, and incentive credits.
Oversee warranty reimbursement claims and ensure timely submission to suppliers and manufacturers.
Approve check vouchers, fund transfers, and expense reimbursements.
Coordinate supplier payment schedules while maintaining healthy cash flow and supplier relationships.
Reconcile supplier statements of accounts (SOAs) and resolve discrepancies with Purchasing and Logistics.
Ensure accurate withholding tax deductions and timely remittances.
Prepare accounts payable aging reports, accruals, and rebate analyses for management review.
Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete financial records and supporting documents.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
At least 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in the appliance distribution or FMCG industry is preferred, particularly in supplier rebates and warranty reimbursements.
Knowledgeable in taxation, BIR compliance, and supplier rebate computations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
