Job Summary
We are seeking a Beauty Merchandising Manager to oversee the end-to-end merchandising activities of the Beauty business. This role will ensure that the business maintains a competitive and commercially relevant product assortment while maximizing sales, margins, inventory productivity, and customer demand.
The position requires strong knowledge of Beauty products and retail merchandising , as well as the ability to translate market and consumer insights into effective merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall merchandising strategy for the Beauty portfolio.
- Plan and maintain product assortments based on customer demand, sales performance, market trends, and commercial objectives.
- Manage SKU selection, product launches, assortment changes, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Analyze category and SKU performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock cover, sell-through, and aging inventory.
- Recommend replenishment, markdown, and assortment adjustment strategies.
- Work closely with suppliers, brand principals, and internal Buying teams to ensure product availability.
- Evaluate new Beauty brands, products, and market opportunities.
- Monitor competitor assortment, pricing, promotions, and product launches.
- Partner with Marketing to align merchandising plans with campaigns and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure timely product availability and execution.
- Prepare regular merchandising reports, forecasts, and business performance reviews.
- Manage and develop the merchandising team.
- Establish and monitor merchandising KPIs to ensure achievement of business targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within Beauty Retail.
- Minimum of 2 years in a managerial or team leadership capacity.
- Experience handling Beauty, Cosmetics, Skincare, Haircare, Fragrance, or Personal Care categories is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail merchandising and category management.
- Experience in assortment planning, SKU management, inventory optimization, and promotional planning.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP, merchandising, or retail systems.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized and results-oriented.
