Job Description – Local Chef
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Local Chef to prepare high-quality Filipino meals for our employees and guests. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and committed to maintaining excellent food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Filipino dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Plan and organize daily food preparation and ensure timely meal service.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to maintain consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and inventory management.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for kitchen supplies when needed.
- Minimize food waste and practice cost-effective food preparation.
- Comply with food safety and health regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate, Vocational Graduate, or College Level in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Staff in a restaurant, café, hotel, or similar food service establishment.
- Knowledge of Filipino cuisine, food preparation, and food safety standards.
- TESDA Cookery NC II or a similar culinary certification is an advantage but not required.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
