Role Overview
The People Operations Specialist is a key member of the People Department team, responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and employee-focused delivery of compensation and benefits programs across the organization. This role supports the design, administration, and continuous improvement of HR processes that enhance employee experience, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Working closely with the HR team and business leaders, the People Operations Specialist ensures that employees receive the right support in areas such as payroll coordination, benefits administration, employee records, and HR operations while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Manage and support the end-to-end administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll-related information, salary updates, incentives, allowances, and deductions.
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollment, updates, and inquiries including healthcare, government-mandated benefits, and company programs.
- Monitor compensation data and support salary reviews, benchmarking, and recommendations.
- Ensure timely resolution of compensation and benefits concerns.
2. HR Operations & Employee Records Management
- Maintain accurate and updated employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics related to headcount, compensation, benefits utilization, and employee data.
3. Payroll & Compliance Support
- Collaborate with Finance and payroll partners to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave records, employee movements, and other payroll adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations, government requirements, and company policies.
- Support audits and HR compliance reviews.
4. Employee Experience & HR Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to compensation, benefits, and HR processes.
- Provide timely and professional support to employees and managers.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and People Operations projects.
5. HR Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain employee information within HR systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Support automation and improvement of HR workflows and processes.
- Assist in developing policies, guidelines, and resources related to compensation and benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in HR operations, compensation & benefits, payroll, or related HR functions.
- Strong understanding of Philippine labor practices, government benefits, and HR compliance.
- Experience handling payroll processes, employee records, and HR documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and HR systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-site operations, retail, service, or franchise environments.
- Background in fast-growing organizations with multiple locations.
- Experience implementing HR process improvements and automation.
