To protect the health, safety, and welfare of employees and others in the workplace by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the company’s safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and standards.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) preferred. - Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on safety experience in a similar industry.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s safety policies, procedures, and risk assessment processes. - Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations; identify root causes and implement corrective actions. - Promote a strong safety culture through training, toolbox talks, inductions, and ongoing safety education for all employees. - Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (local, state/province, and national) and keep up-to-date with changes in safety laws.
